How 3D Dental imaging works

Modern dental clinics use some of the best technologies to diagnose dental problems. With the modern world rapidly improving technology-wise, the field of dentistry has not been left behind. 3D dental imaging is one of these advancements in technology that our dentists use to get a clear picture of what is going on with your dental condition. These help in detecting the exact cause of your dental issues, and therefore enable personalization of your dental treatment. We undertake great care to ensure that we identify the problem that is affecting you so that you get comprehensive treatment.

How It Works

3D dental scan as it is sometimes referred to as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a quicker and more comfortable form of obtaining dental x-ray images for comprehensive evaluation. It utilizes a rotating X-ray arm, which goes around your head. While it is rotating, it takes many images and transfers them to a computer. The software in the computer then puts these multiple images together in 3D format.

From this 3D image, our dentist can get a clear and accurate picture of issues that are not observable to the naked eye. Through this, we can safely diagnose the condition that is causing you pain and discomfort.

Why are dental X-ray Images Important

The images of the dental x-ray provide a clear evaluation of your gums, jaw, teeth, and sinuses. This helps in determining the correct procedure to be used for effective treatment. For instance, when you require dental implant treatment, 3D images can be crucial in determining whether you will require a bone graft procedure.

Your dental health is crucial for your overall health, and as such should be accorded the best techniques. When you come to our clinic, we will use 3D imaging techniques, to customize your treatment for effective treatment.
